SOHAR REFINERY EXPANSION POSTS

SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

Location: Sohar

Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, and will be responsible for reviewing conceptual studies for new projects using simulation tools, able to evaluate technical proposals, able to prepare process design basis in consultation with other departments for various projects, able to review FEED and EPC deliverables, and be able to prepare presentation materials for the meetings, minutes of meeting and following up on results of such meetings, able to analyze PFD, P & ID, HAZOP, SIL, 3D models and Process Data Sheets, monitor and coordinates activities of consultants and EPC contractors, fully conversant with international / local codes, standards and statutory regulations connected with the discipline, able to train and develop junior staff in the team.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate effectiveness in analysis execution, delivering results, promotion to teamwork required, awareness of Orpic’s business and industry, demonstrate experience in planning multi tasks, and performing process engineering activities.
The successful candidate should also be able to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally, motivates and inspires subordinates, harness their energies and efforts to get things done, leads and serves as appropriate role model.

Qualifications

University degree in Chemical Engineering discipline, professional qualification is an advantage, minimum 5 years relevant experience in refinery/petrochemical, knowledge of Ms Office applications / discipline related software, exceptional fluency in English (written and spoken) and Arabic is advantageous.

PROCESS ENGINEER

Location: Sohar

I am one of the process lead engineers in one of the big companies in Sohar. I wish to apply but unfortuenatley I will not be in Oman next month which , I think, will be the hairing month!!
