A. Study one stage of arithmetic logic shift circuit. You are required to understand the circuit diagrams and micro-operations for arithmetic, logic and shift unit separately, and then analyze a consolidated ALU circuit diagram and micro-operations.



B. Study and understand how computer systems with parallel processing capabilities help in doing fast processing. Search for various examples and understand the functionalities of parallel processing machines.

C. Consider main memory that can store 32K words of 12bits each and cache memory is capable of storing 512 of these words at any given time.
