A sad day today
Hey guys,
Wanted to tell you about something that happen to me today.
When i got to work i found out that one of our co-workers lost her mother (passed away), she was my co-worker for 6 years, as she worked with me in my previous job too, so we were really close, we were friends.
I left work and headed to the house where the 3aza was held, went in with a co-worker, set for the du3a, then i went to say hi to her and her sisters, who were sitting on the corner just next to me
As soon as i gave her ma hand to give my condolence she started crying, i then moved closer to her and hugged her, ready with words in mind to tell her
Words like it will be ok, and its written, and read for her and so on
The usual words we say when we meet someone who lost a loved one
But as she was crying in my arms, she said to me its my mother Elvira,
ITS MY MOTHER
And with those words,
I felt so sad beyond words
I couldn’t tell her the words i had in mind
I couldn’t say it will be ok, coz it won’t
I couldn’t say time will make you forget, coz she wont
I just hugged her tighter and cried with her silently, coz my heart ached to see her like that
And i remembered my mother and how i would die but never wish to be sitting in a corner crying over my mother.
May Allah grant our mothers long healthy life
Guys, our mothers are the most blessing we have in this life, i don’t see anything as precious as having her in my life.
I then said my goodbyes to her and her sisters, with a promise to be there tomorrow.
On my way i sow many people that i know, people related to me somehow, or people i knew through my mom and dad
So i said hi to them and they all sent their regards to my mom
So as i got home the first thing i did is went to my mom is room and told her all the names hoping that i don’t miss any of them
As i was doing that my dad was in the room too,
He then commented and said:
Elvira, i am happy that you always stand by your friends when time of death
But how come you don’t go to their weddings?
Which is true, i get invited to many weddings but i don’t attend them, thing is i don’t really like weddings for personal reason
However i turned to my dad and said
When they invite me for their weddings they know that im happy for them, at the same time i know they don’t need me to be happy. They have alot to stand with them and be happy for them.
But when they are in need, sad or grieving over loved ones, they need me to be there for them, what type of friend would i be if i don’t stand with my friends when they need me.
I think at times of sadness and need is when you know who your true friends are.

One of the things i learned in life,, is that there is no better friend then my mum,,
When i went through some tough times,, i had all friends around me,, but felt something missing,, i needed mum,, and as soon as i told her what i was feeling,, her simple words made me feel much better !
I wish no one close to me or someone i love dies before me ..

well i think that a mother is more then just a friend, while there are limits to what a friend can do, there are no limits to what a mother can do
and for sure the words of a mother reach right to the heart
at the same time i do believe that we get friends as much as we are friends to them
meaning if we understand them they it means they understand us too

I wish I did not read but anyway thanks for the reminder and I emm.. hate you!!
Well.. death brings sadness and makes our heart soften and feel for others.. either they were friends or "not" friends.. or even if we do not know them.
and as they say the greatest advisor is death!!
We seek from Allah to bless us all with the best termination!!.. amin.
